Welcome to Enkita
Study English vocabulary with flashcards and the spaced repetition system.
App Philosophy
- Enkita is designed for Italian speakers who want to learn or consolidate English starting from their native language.
- The method is based on active repetition of vocabulary, notable expressions, and English sentence structures.
- The app is especially suited for those currently at A1 or A2 level who want to build a solid vocabulary step by step.
- Studying consistently every day, even just 20 minutes, yields concrete results over the medium to long term.
The Main Screen
- At the top you'll find your session summary: minutes studied today and number of cards completed.
- The progress ring shows the percentage reached relative to your daily goal.
- Below the header you'll find filters to customize your study session.
- Use the "Study" button to immediately start the session with the selected settings.

How to Study with Flashcards
- Each card shows the word to translate first. Think of the answer before flipping the card.
- Tap the card (or the "Show answer" button) to see the translation and example.
- Use the review buttons to indicate when to see the card again: In 5 min, Tomorrow, 7 days, 1 month, 6 months, or 1 year.
- Cards marked as difficult reappear sooner in subsequent sessions.
- Tap the audio icon ๐ to hear the English pronunciation.
The Spaced Repetition System
- The app uses spaced repetition: cards you know well come back less often.
- Each card has a review interval that increases each time you answer correctly.
- Cards with an expired interval are prioritized in study sessions.
- Over time you'll see the percentage of mastered cards improve in the progress chart.
Your Progress
- "My Progress" shows how many cards you've seen, how many mastered, and the distribution by level.
- "Recent Progress" lists the last cards studied with the rating received.
- "Next Session" shows cards expiring soon that need review.
- "Latest Cards Added" lists the most recently added cards to the catalog.
Audio & TTS Settings
- From Settings you can enable automatic reading of the word or example.
- You can separately enable Italian and English audio for the word and example.
- Adjust reading speed: 0.8ร (slow), 1ร (normal), 1.2ร or 1.3ร (fast).
- Set your daily goal in minutes: 20, 40, or 60 minutes.
Study Reset
- The "Reset Study" option in the menu resets all progress: intervals, ratings, and statistics.
- This action is irreversible and requires confirmation with your password.
- Use it only if you want to start studying from scratch.
